Arizonans “are just really tired” of her election denialism

ARIZONA -– Kari Lake has repeatedly expressed her support for Arizona’s eleven fake electors, even issuing an official statement, as she continues to push election conspiracy theories that will “not [win] back the mainstream Republicans” and Arizonans “are just really tired” of her election denialism.
The Arizona Republic noted that Lake called Arizona a “Banana Republic,” and her campaign uplifted statements that called the fake electors “brave heroes.”
Lake “just can’t help herself” but “latch on to” election conspiracy theories, despite admitting “I don’t know who exactly stole the election,” and publicly being told by national Republicans to leave election denialism behind, losing in court yet again, and struggling with Arizona voters who are “so sick and tired of Kari Lake’s whining.”
Lake’s continued pushing of election denial and conspiracy theories is a nightmare for Republicans as she continues to relitigate the 2022 gubernatorial election and 2020 presidential election – even after national Republicans “urge her to look forward:”
- An Arizona pollster raised the alarm on her campaign saying that candidates like her “have not been able to really attract those large swaths of independent and unaffiliated voters.”
- Republicans said Lake “hasn’t gotten off the election conspiracy bandwagon” and “election denial is not the way to win.”
- Arizona Republicans are “not sure what [Lake’s] path is forward,” and “Kari Lake looks increasingly like she isn’t a candidate that can win.”
- Lake has not been able to “walk away from the controversial positions that have turned off independents” while “many moderate Republicans in Arizona remain opposed to her bid” and even “some conservatives who supported her in 2022 have voiced concerns about her authenticity and questioned her ability to win in November.”
