General Election Day One: Yuma Leaders Call Out Kari Lake For Putting Her Political Ambition Before Arizona

Thursday, August 1st, 2024

ARIZONA -– Yesterday in Yuma, Martin Porchas, Chairman of the Yuma County Board of Supervisors, Lynne Pancrazi, Yuma County Supervisor and former State Senator, held a press conference highlighting how Kari Lake’s power-hungry agenda will hurt Arizonans.

“We deserve real solutions – and real public servants – not Kari Lake’s self-serving and dangerous extremism,” said Chairman Martin Porchas. “In my nearly three decades of public service, I have seen the power of collaboration and the importance of putting people over politics. Nothing I’ve seen from Kari Lake in the years that she’s been running for office leads me to believe Kari Lake can collaborate with anyone.”

“Ruben has the experience, and the knowledge, and the ability to work across the aisle to get legislation passed and for the people of Arizona. His opponent, Kari Lake, is all about doing what she’s told. Kari has no legislative experience, she doesn’t work across the aisle, and is proposing draconian measures concerning a woman’s right to health care,” said Yuma County Supervisor Lynne Pancrazi. “He has everything that Kari Lake doesn’t. Kari Lake has no skills except divisiveness.”

Kari Lake supports banning abortion and ripping away Arizonans’ freedom to make their own health care decisions:

Kari Lake continues to relitigate her failed 2022 gubernatorial election and the 2020 presidential election – even after national Republicans “urge[d] her to look forward:”

Kari Lake has made clear that she would rather score cheap political points than stand up for Arizonans:
