AIRWAVE ATTACK: Trump Endorsement Sparks Negative Ad War in the GOP #AZSen Primary 

PHOENIX — We hate to say we told you so, but we did….

In less than twenty-four hours, Donald Trump’s endorsement of Blake Masters has set the GOP Senate primary ablaze, triggering not one but two new negative ads and blanketing Arizona’s airwaves with intense infighting between rivals Jim Lamon and Blake Masters.

First up — mere hours after the endorsement — Jim Lamon launched an attack ad against Masters, slamming Peter Thiel’s “puppet” for calling World War Two unjust, quoting a Nazi leader, and praising the Unabomber. 

And now, team Masters is hitting back via his Peter Thiel-funded super PAC with a negative ad of their own, attacking Lamon for being “pro-China.” The spot hits Lamon for buying Chinese goods, opposing Trump’s “Get Tough on China” policies, and “selling out American workers.” 
 

“From now until primary day, voters will be bombarded with countless reasons as to why both Blake Masters and Jim Lamon are unfit to represent Arizona in the U.S. Senate, doing irreparable harm to whichever candidate crawls out of this primary. For months it’s been clear just how out of step these Republicans are — and now, those flaws will be broadcast on TVs across the state for Arizonans everywhere to see,”  said ADP spokesperson Hannah Goss.
