ADVISORY: TODAY: Tucson Democratic Women Leaders to Host “Too Extreme GOP” Press Conference
With Under 100 Days to the General Election, Tucson Democrats are Putting Republicans’ Extreme, Ultra-MAGA Agenda on Blast
TUCSON — TODAY, August 8 at 11:00 AM MST in Tucson, Mayor Regina Romero and CD6 Congressional Candidate Kirsten Engel will join Democratic women leaders on the frontlines of fighting against the ultra-MAGA GOP agenda to criminalize abortion and restrict health care freedoms. This press conference is part of the Arizona Democratic Party’s “Too Extreme GOP” press tour.

The press conference will highlight how ultra-MAGA Arizona Republicans are already working to rip away Tucsonans’ rights — like pushing to reinstate a draconian, pre-statehood total abortion ban — and will only continue to do so if elected in November. Not only has Arizona’s entire Republican Congressional delegation recently voted against protecting reproductive care access and marriage equality, they have also consistently voted against legislation to lower costs and support working families.

Speakers will emphasize the importance of electing Democrats up and down the ballot this November to help lower costs, protect Arizonans’ freedoms, and prevent the AZ GOP’s disastrous agenda from hurting working people more than it already has.
