Vanity Fair: Kari Lake is a GOP Midterm Candidate Who Should Scare the S- -T Out of You
“Lake has refused to say whether she’ll accept the outcome of the election if she loses. Oh, and she could end up helping Trump steal the presidency in 2024.”
Phoenix – A new Vanity Fair article names Kari Lake as one of the extremist GOP midterm candidates who poses the biggest threat to our democracy.The piece highlights Lake’s recent refusal to accept the outcome of the 2022 election.
“Kari Lake’s continued support for baseless conspiracy theories about the outcome of the 2020 election, vow to implement the most draconian abortion ban, and saying that she will only accept the results of her race if she wins make clear that she has no business being in public office,” said ADP Spokeswoman Josselyn Berry.
Here are some key excerpts from the Vanity Fair piece:
- “Donald Trump has reportedly praised the Arizona gubernatorial candidate and told other Republicans to be more like her.”
- “Not only has Lake openly embraced Trump’s lies about the 2020 election, but during the GOP primary, she said it was “disqualifying” and “sickening” for a fellow candidate to not agree that the election was stolen.”
- “The Democrats ‘have a demonic agenda.’ She called a near-total ban on abortions “great”; opposes letting trans people use the bathroom that aligns with their gender identity; and told a group of young conservative women, “God did not create us to be equal to men.”
- “She believes some members of the media should be thrown in prison and has also called for the imprisonment of her opponent.”
- “Lake has refused to say whether she’ll accept the outcome of the election if she loses. Oh, and she could end up helping Trump steal the presidency in 2024.”
That’s not all — Lake trashed “McCain Republicans,” once again calling the late Senator a “loser.” Her economic agenda has been called “ill-advised,” “dangerous,” and “unworkable.” Lake also told CNN that she would only accept the 2022 election results if she won.
Katie Hobbs, on the other hand, has promised to strengthen Arizona’s election systems, protect the freedom to vote for all Arizonans and deliver real solutions for the issues that impact Arizona everyday, including protecting reproductive rights, solving the state’s water crisis, funding our education system, and addressing affordability issues.
