MASTERS MOMENT: The One Where He Says “We Do Have To Cut” Social Security (Again)
 

PHOENIX — Welcome to today’s ‘Masters Moment’ — a daily opportunity to shine light on Blake Masters’ out-of-touch, offensive, and disqualifying beliefs and opinions.

Over the next 62 days, the ‘Masters Moment’ will be your number one source for all things Masters. While he attempts a desperate pivot to hide his “fringe,” “extreme,” and “dangerous” ideas, every day we’ll be releasing the audio and video to prove, in his own words, who Masters really is – and that he’s a risk Arizonans can’t afford.  

Today’s moment, where he calls to “cut the Gordian Knot” and slash Social Security benefits: 

Masters: “But we’re going to have to pick a point and cut the ‘Gordian Knot’ at some point because I’ll tell you what, people my age, I’m 35, certainly my children who aren’t thinking about Social Security, they’re never going to get it. I’m probably never going to get it. I’ll pay probably more than, I mean I don’t know, seven figures into the Social Security system, and I’m not going to see a dime of that. But at some point, we’ve got to have the hard bargain, we do have to cut it because it’s unsustainable,” (At the Sun City Republican Club, 01/18/22).
