MASTERS MOMENT: The One Where He Says “Sweatshops Are Good” 
 

PHOENIX — Welcome to today’s ‘Masters Moment’ — a daily opportunity to shine light on Blake Masters’ out-of-touch, offensive, and disqualifying beliefs and opinions.

Today’s moment, where sweatshops are good: 

Masters: “I grew up a complete free trader, right? This is the perspective I come from. I was reading Ayn Rand. I was reading von Mises and Hayek and reading about comparative advantage and this idea that no, sweatshops are good, actually, because, you know, they can make something cheaper and more efficiently over there and we can just move up the value stack over here. And free trade raises, lifts all boats. And that sounds good in theory. And sometimes maybe it’s good policy,” (On Tipping Point with Zach Yentzer, 7/15/21).
