Kari Lake’s Attacks Force College Campus to Shut Down

Katie Hobbs Will Still Sit Down to Answer Questions About Her Vision for Arizona

Phoenix–Weeks of threats and temper tantrums from Kari Lake have reached their natural conclusion today as the Dean of ASU’s Cronkite School is urging faculty and students to stay home over security concerns for tonight’s PBS interview with Katie Hobbs. Last week, CNN journalist Kyung Lah reported a rash of death threats and racial slurs coming in from Lake supporters after another Lake media spectacle  where she attacked ASU and PBS for interviewing Hobbs.

Lake has proven time and again that she only cares about creating spectacles and scenes. She has no interest in a substantial debate where she’ll have to answer questions about her extreme stances on everything from banning abortion to refusing to accept the results of the election. At press conferences, Lake refuses to answer questions from Arizona media, and when she does appear on networks like CNN, she struggles to defend her extreme views while blaming everyone but herself.

“While Kari Lake is throwing temper tantrums and hurling threats at our universities and press, Katie Hobbs will be answering tough questions and laying out her strong, detailed vision for Arizona. The contrast could not be more clear,”  said Josselyn Berry, spokesperson for the Arizona Democratic Party.
