Kari Lake Congratulates January 6th Insurrectionist on Release from Prison

ARIZONA -– On Friday, Kari Lake congratulated January 6th insurrectionist Owen Shroyer on his release from prison– a sentence he received for attending the violent January 6th insurrection at the Capitol after spending weeks  spreading election disinformation and “thinly veiled calls to violence” on his Infowars show.

Shroyer hosts “The War Room With Owen Shroyer,” which streams on conspiracy theorist Alex Jones’s Infowars website. Leading up to January 6th, Shroyer “stoked the flames of a potential disruption of the certification vote by streaming disinformation about alleged voter fraud and a stolen election.” He even went so far as to say in November of 2020 that, “it’s not going to be a million peaceful marchers in D.C.” if Biden became president.

As Lake’s campaign continues to struggle to appeal to voters in Arizona because of her dangerous conspiracy theories, this is yet another example of her ongoing support and association with extremists, insurrectionists, and conspiracy theorists.
