Kari Lake Chooses Far-Right Propaganda Machines Over Speaking to Everyday Arizonans
Lake Continues to Hide from Local Press and Arizonans in Favor of MAGA-Friendly Outlets
PHOENIX – With every appearance on far right YouTube channels and fringe podcasts, Kari Lake continues to prove she has no interest in talking to everyday Arizonans or addressing the critical issues facing our state. Instead, Lake continues to insult and ignore legitimate media and Arizona in favor of only appearing on friendly MAGA media like OANN and Sebastian Gorka’s show. Lake has also repeatedly referred to the Arizona Republic as the “Repugnant” and insulted local reporters like Brahm Resnick.
While Lake says she wants to bring all Arizonans together, she immediately abandoned Arizonans in favor of joining her fellow conspiracy theorists at a MAGA megaconference in Texas the weekend after the primary, and last weekend Lake spoke at a MAGA rally alongside Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.
“It’s clear that Kari Lake is too scared to talk with legitimate press and has no interest in meeting with everyday Arizonans,’” said Josselyn Berry, spokesperson for the Arizona Democratic Party. “If Kari Lake lacks the backbone to talk to everyday Arizonans now, then how will she have the backbone to stand up for them as governor? Compare that to Katie Hobbs who hit the ground running, touring the state and talking to Arizonans about Arizona issues, like rising cost of living, our water crisis and funding education.”
Here’s a Sample of the Recent Interviews Lake’s Given:
- Bannon’s War Room– Kari Lake went on Bannon’s War Room podcast to attack mainstream media once again, saying they attack her because of “jealousy” and that “they’re part of the propaganda machine, the news is propaganda.”
- The Conservative Circus Radio Show– Lake joined the conservative radio show and repeated her claim that she wants to bring the Republican Party together, but since saying that she’s done the complete opposite, continuing to attack members of her own party.
- Sebastian Gorka on America First— Lake spoke to Sebastian Gorka, a former Trump adviser who said the FBI’s actions in regards to Mar-A-Lago were “a declaration of war.” Lake continued to push disproved conspiracy theories about elections.
- Steve Crowder Podcast– Lake spoke to right-wing podcaster Steve Crowder, which has now been removed for violating YouTube’s community guidelines. Lake said she would “absolutely” disband the FBI.
