Lake Tries To Claim Martin Luther King Would Vote Republican If Alive Today

PHOENIX–Bernice King, daughter of Martin Luther King Jr., waded into the Arizona Gubernatorial race today, admonishing Kari Lake’s outrageous comment she made at a rally this week, where she claimed that the civil rights leader, were he alive today, “would be America First Republicans.”

Bernice King tweeted at Kari Lake saying, “Dear Kari Lake:  What you share here is false and dismissive of Daddy’s seminal work and beliefs, including: Ending/preventing voter suppression. Treating all, including immigrants, with dignity. I invite you to study my father via http://thekingcenterinstitute.org.”

“King’s response speaks for itself,” said Josselyn Berry, spokesperson for The Arizona Democratic Party.
