PHOENIX – With less than 60 days until early ballots drop in the general election, military veteran and successful businessman, David Lucier, is taking on Rep. Paul Gosar in Arizona’s redrawn Congressional District 9 running.

After traveling his district to reach out to voters, Lucier ran a successful write-in campaign to qualify for the general election.

Lucier released the following statement: “I am running because I feel that our republic is in danger of being destroyed by extremism and corruption. Whether it’s healthcare, veterans issues, or drought relief, representative Gosar votes against his constituents every time—he’s more concerned about drawing attention to himself than about doing the hard work to provide solutions for our district.”

“The people of Arizona’s Ninth Congressional District deserve a full-time, fully engaged Representative who will lead and listen to Arizonans. I will use common sense and my decades of experience serving my fellow Arizonans to bring solutions to this district.

“As a veteran, my oath to this country came without an expiration date. I will support and defend the US Constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic. I will defend Democracy as I have done throughout the three wars in which I’ve participated. I will not turn from my lawful duties and responsibilities.”
