Arizona Democratic Party Welcomes New Communication Director

PHOENIX – Today, the Arizona Democratic Party (ADP) is pleased to announce Morgan Dick as the new Communications Director. Previously, Dick served as the Public Information Officer at the Arizona Department of Education (ADE) and the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction, Kathy Hoffman. During her tenure under Superintendent Hoffman, she strategized with key ADE leadership to guide Arizona public schools through the COVID-19 crisis, provide more mental health supports for students, and bridge the digital divide – all with the goal of ensuring every Arizona student has an equitable opportunity to succeed. Dick was born and raised in Arizona, is a graduate of Arizona State University and currently resides in Phoenix.

“After having seen the work up close, I can say with confidence that Arizona is a better place because of Superintendent Hoffman’s leadership,” said Dick. “Her vision for every Arizona child to have equitable access to an excellent education is unparalleled – she will do what it takes to support the challenges students face and support the incredible work of Arizona educators. Arizona needs leaders like Kathy Hoffman who will support students, educators and the working families they are a part of. I am thrilled to support Superintendent Hoffman in her critical re-election race and Democrats up and down the ballot. This year is critical for Arizona Democrats to solidify gains made in recent years and I’m beyond excited to be a part of that work.”

Former Communications Director, Alex Alvarez has been elevated to the position of Deputy Executive Director, overseeing Communications and Political work at ADP.

“We are thrilled to have Morgan on the team! She has a wealth of expertise and experience in both education and voting rights spaces and will be an incredible asset for ADP in the 2022 cycle and beyond.” said Alvarez.
