ADVISORY: Mayor Romero, Local Women Leaders to Encourage Tucsonans to Get Out and Vote Early
Local Leaders to Join ADP Chair Terán Calling Out GOP Lies Undermining Arizona’s Trusted Early Voting System
TUCSON — Tomorrow, Tucson Mayor Regina Romero, U.S. House candidate Kirsten Engel, Vice Mayor Lane Santa Cruz, and ADP Chair and State Senator Raquel Terán will hold a press conference encouraging Tucsonans to head to the polls in the face of Republican attacks on Arizona’s trusted early voting system.
Democrats, Republicans, and Independents all agree that early voting in Arizona is easy and secure. That’s why, despite Republican lies and false, pre-emptive claims of cheating, nearly 90% of Arizonans cast their ballots before Election Day.
Arizonans know there is simply too much at stake this election — the right to an abortion, protecting seniors’ Social Security, and defending Arizona’s elections — to not vote this year.
WHAT: Press conference to encourage Arizonans to vote early despite GOP efforts to undermine our early voting system
WHEN: Friday, November 4th, 9:30 – 10:00 am MST
WHO:
- Regina Romero, Mayor of Tucson
- Kirsten Engel, Candidate for U.S. Representative
- Lane Santa Cruz, Vice Mayor of Tucson
- Raquel Terán, Chair of the Arizona Democratic Party and State Senator
