ADVISORY: GOP #AZSen Candidates Look Beyond Roe to Restrict Access to Repro Care
Primary Candidates Continue to Push Out of Touch Agenda
PHOENIX — TOMORROW at 12pm local time, Senate Democratic Leader Rebecca Rios, State Representative Melody Hernandez, and ASU Young Democrats leader Isabel Hiserodt will join the ADP for a press conference highlighting the GOP Senate primary candidates’ dangerous plans to end access to abortion and reproductive health care — not just in Arizona, but across the country.

Following the leaked draft majority opinion showing the Supreme Court plans to fully repeal Roe v. Wade, these Republican Senate candidates’ unpopular positions deserve new scrutiny.

In direct opposition with the preferences of Arizonans:

  • Blake Masters is running to institute a federal ban on abortion and encouraging his fellow Republican politicians to “go on offense” to restrict access to care;
  • Jim Lamon has explicitly promised to bring his out-of-step views on choice with him to Washington, saying “we owe [it] to our fellow Americans” to restrict reproductive rights; and
  • Mark Brnovich, upon hearing the news of the reported ruling to overturn Roe v. Wade, vowed to push his personal, anti-choice agenda nationwide, just as he did in the Attorney General’s office.

RSVP: Please RSVP here for additional details.

WHAT: Press conference to outline the GOP Senate primary candidates’ extremist plans to end access to abortion.

WHEN: Thursday, May 5th at 12:00 – 12:30 pm MST

WHERE: Arizona State Capitol, Rose Garden, 1700 W. Washington St. Phoenix, AZ 85007

WHO:

Senate Democratic Leader Rebecca Rios

State Representative Melody Hernandez
