ADVISORY: Arizona Democrats to Hold Press Conference Following Today’s Devastating Roe v. Wade Decision, Outline the AZ GOP’s Anti-Choice Agenda
#AZSen Candidates and Down Ballot Cronies Are Already Looking Beyond Roe, Running to Institute a Nationwide Ban on Abortion
PHOENIX — TODAY, at 2:00 PM MST, Arizona leaders and Planned Parenthood of Arizona will join Arizona Democratic Party Chair Raquel Terán for a press conference on this morning’s dangerous Supreme Court decision to overturn Roe v. Wade and take away the right from Arizona women to make decisions about their own bodies and health care.
Speakers at today’s event will highlight how this decision is a result of the Republican Party’s decades-long war on women making their own decision about their own bodies and is a direct affront to the will of the American people — including the 87% of Arizona voters who support the right to safe and legal abortion. Now, the GOP Senate primary candidates are already looking beyond Roe to further restrict access to abortion:

Blake Masters has called for a federal abortion ban with no exceptions and the imprisonment of abortion providers;
Jim Lamon opposes abortion even in cases of rape or incest; and
Mark Brnovich defended Arizona’s abortion law that bans abortion after 15 weeks, with no exception for rape or incest.

Now more than ever, it’s crucial to elect Democrats to defend the freedoms that Republicans are relentlessly working to rip away from millions of Arizonans.
