ADP Statement on the Passage of Arizona’s 15 Week Abortion Ban

PHOENIX — Yesterday, Arizona became the second state this year to pass a restrictive 15-week abortion ban mirrored after the controversial Mississippi law under review by the Supreme Court of the United States.

Arizona Republicans from the State House to the GOP Senate primary have made it clear they’re willing to ignore the preferences of Arizona voters to push their dangerous anti-choice agenda — all in an effort to squash Roe v. Wade, its five decades of legal precedent, and the individual freedoms of millions of Arizonans.

Following the passage of the aggressive anti-choice legislation, ADP Spokesperson Morgan Dick released the following statement:

“This oppressive 15-week abortion ban — which runs counter to the interests and opinions of the majority of Arizonans — will harm people in every corner of our state. While GOP politicians like Doug Ducey, Mark Brnovich, and Nancy Barto continue to push their personal anti-choice agenda on Arizonans, we will continue to defend the constitutional reproductive rights of millions of Arizonans. These bans are not what Arizona needs, and they’re not what Arizonans want — and come Election Day, Arizonans will remember exactly who fought for their freedoms and who worked to rip them away.”
