Trump-Endorsed Candidates for Governor and Secretary of State Kari Lake and Mark Finchem Continue Chasing Conspiracy Theories 

Lake and Finchem’s latest lawsuit shows they care more about making Trump happy than talking to Arizona voters

PHOENIX – Trump-endorsed, Republican candidates for Governor and Secretary of State Kari Lake and Mark Finchem are continuing down the rabbit hole of conspiracy theories and politically motivated vendettas against Arizona voters. Bankrolled by Trump-obsessed MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell, the pair sued the state of Arizona to eliminate electronic voting entirely and turn back the clock on Arizona elections. Despite several independent investigations that fully validated the 2020 Arizona election and Arizona’s safe, secure and reliable electronic voting machines, Lake and Finchem can’t seem to move on. They’ve made it clear that if elected, they would spend their time working to impress Trump, not Arizonans.

Neither Lake nor Finchem have spent any time on the campaign trail discussing what they would do to improve the lives of everyday Arizonans. We deserve a Governor and Secretary of State who is committed to using their office to address the needs of Arizonans, not chase after Trump’s wishlist. Voters need to know if the other Republican candidates believe that Arizona would be better off with paper-only voting and what their plans are to actually be leaders for every Arizonan.

“While Republicans are stuck in 2020, Arizona Democrats are laser-focused on listening to Arizonans and proposing real policy solutions for the everyday problems they are facing,” said Arizona Democratic Party Communications Director Morgan Dick. “Why Republicans would rather cater to Trump than help Arizonans is no mystery: it is because they are too scared to compete with Democrats on ideas and values. Or do they just not have any ideas?”
