Karrin Taylor Robson Caught Taking Campaign Flights on Husband’s Private Jet Without Properly Reporting
 

PHOENIX–Wealthy lobbyist and developer Karrin Taylor Robson has been living lavishly on the campaign trail, according to recent reporting. For months, Taylor Robson appears to have been using a private jet for campaign events, and not listing the travel on her campaign finance reports as required by law. The jet, a Dassault Falcon 900EX cost $39 million new and resells for between $7 and 8 million on average. The total annual budget for flying a Falcon 900EX private jet 200 hours per year is approximately $1,465,269 or $2,387,235 for flying 400 hours per year.

Why It’s A Problem– If Taylor Robson’s campaign accepted the jet travel as an in-kind contribution, she looks to be in violation of Arizona campaign finance law. Campaigns cannot accept contributions from LLCs, according to ARS 16-913 which reads, “A candidate committee may accept contributions only from an individual, a partnership, a candidate committee, a political action committee or a political party.”  Private jet joy rides count as a contribution because it’s for campaign travel.

Karrin Taylor Robson’s husband Ed Robson is the chairman of a company that is the sole manager of an LLC called “Arlington Aircraft of Nevada LLC,” which owns the Dassault Falcon 900EX private jet. Both the company Ed Robson chairs and the LLC are registered to the same address – his real estate development company Robson Communities’ corporate address in Sun Lakes, AZ. 
 

This past weekend, the jet took a mere 11-minute flight from Scottsdale to Glendale, a short drive from Taylor Robson’s campaign event with former Vice President Mike Pence, then flew to Marana for another campaign event. Arizona’s Family looked into other flights made by the jet and found several stops matching Taylor Robson’s campaign events — including a Nashville, TN meeting at the RGA’s spring conference.
 

“While Arizona families are struggling to make ends meet and pay bills, Karrin Taylor Robson has been jet setting around the state on a lavish private jet that costs millions of dollars,” said Josselyn Berry, spokesperson for the Arizona Democratic Party. “Not only that, she was hiding this for months and failing to report it as required by law. All this points to how Taylor Robson is out of touch and untrustworthy. It’s clear that uber-wealthy Taylor Robson has no idea what everyday Arizonans need.”
