FACT CHECK: Republicans Think Blake Masters’ Bogus Claims About the 2020 Election Are Dangerous
PHOENIX — While Blake Masters continues to sow doubt in the 2020 election, members of the Republican party know that Masters repeatedly lied for political benefit.
Let’s set the record straight: Even members of Blake Masters’ own party disagree with his baseless, politically-motivated claims that Trump won the 2020 election, proving just how “fringe” and dangerous Masters really is.
Why it matters: Since November of 2020, fraudulent “Stop the Steal” efforts by prominent election conspiracy theorists have plagued Arizona and undermined our safe and secure voting system. Blake Masters’ lies are so “extreme” that even Republicans know not to trust him.

- The outgoing Republican speaker of the Arizona House says Trump-backed GOP candidates might send the country “back into the dark ages” if they win key midterm races and help enact laws to make it easier to overturn elections – which he said was tantamount to “fascism.”

- “I Fear that if we continue to nominate people who deny the truth, then what may have to happen is that we lose elections,” Gates told KTAR News 92.3 FM’s Gaydos and Chad Show. “I don’t want Republicans to lose elections, but I also don’t want candidates who stated that they’re not going to accept the wishes and the will of the voters to be serving in office.
