ARIZONA– Today Arizona Democratic Party Chairwoman Yolanda Bejarano, Arizona House Representative Quanta Crews, Arizona Democratic Delegate Karl Gentles and other Arizona Democrats gathered to rally behind Vice President Kamala Harris as the next Democratic nominee for President of the United States.
“Vice President Kamala Harris has delivered real results for Arizonans on the issues they care most about,” said Arizona Democratic Party Chairwoman Yolanda Bejarano. “That’s why you have seen back to back days of Arizona Democrats coming out to support her. Vice President Harris helped guide the nation through the pandemic, pass and implement historic legislation. We are confident that over the next 104 days, we will defeat Donald Trump and his extremist Project 2025 agenda.”
This announcement comes after President Joe Biden this past weekend made the selfless decision to step down from the campaign and endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris as the next nominee. The Arizona Democratic Party leadership and delegates quickly unified behind the best candidate who will defeat Donald Trump and JD Vance once and for all.
“We believe in a country where women have the right to make decisions about their own bodies. That’s why we are here today. Because there is only one candidate who will support our rights and freedoms – and that’s Vice President Harris,” said Representative Quanta Crews. “We are incredibly excited to stand behind Vice President Harris and Democrats flip the Arizona legislature for the first time in 60 years.”
Arizona Democratic Delegate Karl Gentles added, “Arizona’s delegation was proud to unanimously back Vice President Harris because she has delivered on the issues we care about the most. From fighting for our abortion rights, increasing good-paying jobs, and lowering the cost of living, Vice President Harris is moving our state forward. Arizonans understand that a Trump-Vance presidency would strip away our rights and freedoms, and we are ready to reject Republican extremism just like we did in 2020.”
