ARIZONA- Today, Arizona Democratic Party Chair Yolanda Bejarano released the following statement in response to Donald Trump saying “there is a lot you can do … in terms of cutting” Social Security and Medicare:
“After trying to gut the programs for years, Donald Trump promised again he would cut Social Security and Medicare for the millions of Arizonans who rely on them. Arizonans are familiar with Republicans wanting to cut these programs– from David Schweikert’s multiple house speeches to the four years of Trump’s presidency where MAGA Republicans have tried to gut the programs. These are benefits Arizonans worked hard their entire lives to have, and they simply can’t afford to lose. The only way to safeguard Social Security and Medicare is to reelect President Biden and Vice President Harris.”
Make no mistake, Donald Trump and MAGA Republicans want to cut Social Security and Medicare for Arizonans:
