ADP Statement on Confirmation of Judge Jackson to the Supreme Court of the United States

PHOENIX — Today Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson was confirmed by the Senate as the next Supreme Court Justice of the United States.

Upon the Senate vote, Chairwoman Raquel Terán released the following statement:

“Today Arizona is celebrating the nomination of Kentaji Brown Jackson to the Supreme Court of the United States! Judge Jackson is one of the most principled, poised, and brightest legal minds in the country, as demonstrated in her confirmation hearings and throughout her lifelong career. We are beyond grateful to Judge Jackson, and her family, for their shared dedication to public service and to the country. 
 

The Arizona Democratic Party is proud and grateful for the support of Judge Jackson from President Joe Biden, and every single Senate Democrat including Senator Kelly and Senator Sinema to nominate and confirm the first African American woman to the highest court in the land. Her appointment is a long-overdue step towards a Supreme Court that better reflects the America it serves. Congratulations to soon-to-be Justice Jackson!”
