Arizona Gubernatorial Debate Goes Off the Rails with Name Calling, Shouting and Conspiracy Theories 
PHOENIX– Incompetence and immaturity were on full display last night during the first and only GOP gubernatorial debate as Kari Lake and Karrin Taylor Robson spent the hour shouting over each other and the rest of the GOP field, Scott Neely and Paola Tulliani Zen, name calling, trading insults and focusing on anything but how they would solve real issues that matter to Arizona voters. • Kari Lake Spews Out More Election Lies While Taylor Robson Dodges- Kari Lake once again said the 2020 election was “corrupt and stolen” and that Biden lost the election. Karrin Taylor Robson once again refused to answer if she would’ve certified the 2020 election and said the elections “weren’t fair” before regurgitating fake conspiracy theories about the media and big tech companies suppressing conservative voices.
• Kari Lake and Karrin Taylor Robson Want To Ban Abortion Pills-Both leading candidates said they support and would enforce Arizona’s 1864, pre-Roe and statehood ban on abortion, which would prohibit the procedure in nearly all cases at all stages and would criminalize and imprison doctors who perform it. Then they both took it a step further and said they’d also ban abortion pills.

“Last night’s debate made it clear that the GOP candidates for governor are completely incompetent and incapable of meeting the challenge Arizonans face,” said Josselyn Berry, spokesperson for the Arizona Democratic Party. “Rather than focus on serious issues that matter most to voters, they spent the hour shouting over each other, trading insults, regurgitating disproven conspiracy theories about the 2020 election and vowing to further restrict and attack the right to an abortion.  It was a depressing display of extreme, fringe views that are out of step with the majority of Arizona voters.”
