Arizona Democratic Party Statement on President Biden Investing in Arizona Broadband
ARIZONA – The Biden-Harris administration’s Investing in America Agenda is continuing to deliver historic economic progress for Arizonans – this time with a new investment in affordable, accessible high-speed internet. Thanks to President Biden’s leadership and once-in-a-generation investments in American communities, the BEAD (Broadband Equity Access and Deployment) Program will provide Arizona with an additional $993,112,231.37 in funding to help bring reliable high-speed internet to communities across the state.
“We all know that high-speed internet service is a necessity in 21st century America. Thanks to President Biden’s leadership, thousands of Arizonans will soon be able to access the reliable, affordable broadband they need to work, learn, and stay connected,” said Arizona Democratic Party Chair, Yolanda Bejarano. “Trump and MAGA Republicans promised an ‘infrastructure week’, but President Biden and Vice President Harris are actually delivering.”
Here’s how President Biden’s Invest in America agenda has already helped Arizonans get connected:
- Under the Biden-Harris Administration, Arizona has already received $1.8 Billion in funding to provide affordable, reliable high-speed internet to everyone in Arizona.
- Now, Arizona will receive an additional $993,112,231.37 from the Administration’s historic Broadband Equity Access and Deployment Program.
- 423.3K households in Arizona are saving $30-75 per month on high-speed internet through the Biden-Harris Administration’s Affordable Connectivity Program.
