Congressional Corral: I throw my lasso in the air
Arizona Republicans show they “care” about Arizonans with a lot of talk and no action

PHOENIX, ARIZONA– This week, Arizona Congressional Republicans did what they do best: not deliver on the issues Arizonans care about. It’s Friday, so here’s a roundup (corral) of what Arizona Republicans have been up to (hint: it’s mostly just talking).

  • Paul Gosar (AZ-09): In this week’s Congressional newsletter, Rep. Gossar pushed back on a Yuma resident’s concern that Rep. Gosar caters to Donald Trump’s wants and is playing politics instead of doing his job by writing, “Oh John, I care. Probably too much. That’s why when I’m at the club and the DJ says ‘Put your hands in the air like you just don’t care’ I leave my hands down, because I care. “
  • Juan Ciscomani (AZ-06): This week, an Arizonan penned an op-ed asking a question we are all thinking about with Ciscomani: “How many ways can Republicans, including Representative Juan Ciscomani, waste taxpayer money with useless resolutions and photo ops?”
  • Andy Biggs (AZ-05): During the first half of the 118th Congress, Rep. Andy Biggs introduced 590 bills, far more than any member of Congress. Rep. Biggs’ excessive amount of bills introduced seems to be tied to his insecurity that Republicans have “nothing to go out there and campaign on.”
