ARIZONA- Last week, Kamala Harris visited Arizona for the 7th time this cycle, holding one of the largest political rallies in Arizona history, with 15,000 Arizonans coming to see the Harris-Walz ticket. Arizona is the top battleground state this cycle with the ability to determine who wins the presidency, what Party controls Congress, and is home to one of the most competitive state legislative battlegrounds in the country.
Polling from Arizona High Ground has Kamala Harris leading by almost 3% overall and 7.2% with Independents a key demographic in Arizona. National polling shows similar leads for Harris in Arizona and Nevada. Arizona and Nevada, key new battlegrounds for Democrats that form a Western Wall, are uniquely positioned to deliver the White House for Vice President Harris, and people are starting to take notice.
WATCH:
Basil Smikle Jr: “She’s doing better among Latino voters than even Joe Biden did, and that means Arizona and Nevada are in play in ways that they were not before. Extremely important moment for the campaign if she holds this really tough line, it could mean success in November.”
Ashley Etienne: “Polls show that about 70% of voters are still undecided. Majority of those voters are Black and brown, younger voters, and so that gives [Kamala Harris] a leg up in places like Arizona and Nevada. Those states have now come on the map, now as possibilities for her.”

The New Republic: “The poll also shows why Harris may put the Sun Belt back in play: She is viewed positively by Latinos overall in Nevada by 44 points (69–25) and in Arizona by 14 points (54–40).”
Arizona Mirror: “Harris’ campaign is riding a wave of momentum, both in Arizona and nationally. Since President Joe Biden abandoned his reelection bid in late July, Harris has rocketed to the top of the Democratic Party and swiftly united a fracturing coalition. That velocity has translated into a swell of support in Arizona and other battleground states, which is being seen in the polls.”
AZCentral: “If crowds matter, Democrats showed they intend to fight for Arizona. Polling is just beginning to reflect the revised Democratic ticket and Trump’s own vice-presidential nominee, U.S. Sen. JD Vance, R-Ohio. But it appears the state is closer now, similar to what is happening in other swing states and in nationwide polling.”
Arizona Democrats are prepared to fight for Arizona values by electing Democrats up and down the ballot. To learn more about key initiatives, how to vote or how to support Democrats this election cycle, please visit azdem.org.
