WATCH: Martha McSally Isn’t Working For Arizonans

Since her appointment in December 2018, McSally has proven that she can’t be trusted to put Arizona first in Washington

PHOENIX — The Arizona Democratic Party today released a new video commemorating the one-year anniversary of Gov. Doug Ducey‘s appointment of unelected U.S. Sen. Martha McSally.

After Arizonans rejected McSally in the 2018 U.S. Senate race, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell personally lobbied Ducey to appoint her anyway. According to reporting from the Washington Post, Ducey had serious doubts about appointing McSally — for a variety of reasons. But McConnell ultimately won out, and McSally’s appointment was announced on December 18, 2018.

In the year since her appointment, Martha McSally has continued her record of working for her corporate backers and party leaders, like Mitch McConnell, at the expense of Arizonans — proving that she can’t be trusted to put Arizona first in Washington.
