PHOENIX –  Democrats have been building momentum in battleground states. Starved for media attention and unable to gain positive coverage amid an influx of reports pointing to Democratic strength, AZ GOP Chair Kelli Ward again took to twitter.

In a follow up to her ignorant tweet about health care workers counter-protesting, Ward called on all Re-Open America protesters to wear scrubs at future gatherings, presumably to mock health professionals.

This continues a pattern of Ward pushing fake stories about actors supposedly posing as health care workers. While these tweets are just the latest occurrences in a career of off-the-wall statements from Ward, attacking health care employees and questioning their credibility amidst a global pandemic marks a new low.

“If anyone’s status as a health care professional should be questioned its Dr. Kelli Ward’s, considering her unwillingness to promote the advice of health experts. Irresponsible, shameful tweets like this do nothing to help people afflicted with the virus or the health care heroes who are working to save lives,” said Matt Grodsky, Arizona Democratic Party spokesman.
