Kari Lake says “I don’t welcome everybody”

ARIZONA -– This episode of the Lake Tapes showcases Kari Lake’s “scorched earth” RNC speech and combative post-speech interviews in which she told a reporter she was “just a sad case of a human being.”
Lake’s speech was a “blistering attack” that left reporters observing “if there was a unity memo, Kari Lake didn’t get it” but instead “burned it.”
Over the last several months, Lake “keeps giving Republicans new reasons to worry” as she “has struggled to” be less divisive after reopening failed, election conspiracy theory-laden court cases, calling for violence in the lead up to the 2024 election, and campaigning under a confederate flag.

Kari Lake at the RNC: “Welcome everybody who’s watching at home. And welcome, everybody in this great arena tonight. We love you all. Actually, actually, wait a minute. I don’t mean that. I don’t welcome everybody in this meeting – in this room. The guys up in the fake news, frankly – All right. Frankly, you guys up there in the fake news have worn out your welcome. Right? You’ve worn it out, guys.”
Kari Lake on Piers Morgan Uncensored: “Well, people – people in the news media who are perpetuating this, know who we’re talking about.”
Kari Lake on The News Agents: “You are just a sad case of a human being. And I’m so sorry for you. I’m sorry that you bought into the propaganda. I hope that you look in the mirror and see that you’ve been – you’ve been following propaganda, and you don’t understand what’s happening.”
Emily Maitlis: “So I’m guessing if you don’t win in November, you won’t concede? That’s the rule that you’re playing by now, is that?”
Kari Lake: “You are – I actually think you need your head examined.”
Emily Maitlis: “You made him the target of violence and death. You saw what happened on the stage on Saturday night. You heard Donald Trump say, ‘Let’s lower the temperature.’ Do you accept the part you played in inflaming the political rhetoric in this country?”
Kari Lake: “You are just part of the fake news, and you’re lying. You don’t know a damn thing about Arizona.”
