PHOENIX – There are eight days left until election day. Voters in CD04 have a choice between a career politician who has cowed to special interest groups, voted against the best interests of his constituents, and votes with Trump nearly 90% of the time – or Delina DiSanto who will restore integrity to her district and will work for all of her constituents regardless of party. The differences between these two candidates could not be clearer:
Incumbent Rep. Gosar has a 4% rating from the Alliance for Retired Americans for his stance on privatizing Social Security, opposing a minimum wage increase, and voting to support insurance companies’ ability to charge higher premiums for older Americans and people with pre-existing conditions. By contrast, The Alliance for Retired Americans has endorsed Delina DiSanto who will protect coverage for pre-existing conditions, and she will ensure that Social Security is not privatized.
Six of Gosar’s siblings recently released a joint statement condemning Gosar and his record of supporting tax giveaways for corporations and the very wealthy. Gosar’s siblings have endorsed his challenger, Delina DiSanto, instead.
Gosar was condemned for posing for a photo with right-wing extremists on the 4th of July. He was photographed taking a picture with a member of the Proud Boys, a far-right neo-fascist organization. DiSanto is committed to ending discrimination and will vote for legislation that promotes civility including full protections of the Voting Rights Act.
“Arizonans in CD04 have a chance to usher in real change for their district,” said Matt Grodsky, Arizona Democratic Party spokesman, “Delina DiSanto will represent all of her constituents. She will work to create jobs, will make healthcare more accessible and affordable, will ensure that we invest in education and that we protect our environment. It is time that CD04 had a true leader, that’s Delina DiSanto.”
