Recess Questions For Martha McSally

Recess Questions For Martha McSally

PHOENIX — With the U.S. Senate in recess until July 20, here are a few questions that Martha McSally needs to answer while she’s back in Arizona and attending at least one in-person campaign event:

  1. Why did Senator McSally not warn Arizonans about COVID-19 earlier, given she first received a virus briefing in January? And does McSally regret that Trump praised China’s response for months, while downplaying risks for Arizonans?

  2. Does Senator McSally support additional federal COVID-19 relief — including funding to continue expanded unemployment benefits and provide direct support for Arizona cities and towns so that they can fund essential services?

  3. Is Senator McSally angry that Trump asked China to boost his 2020 campaign? Would McSally similarly ask for or accept illegal foreign help in her own campaign?

  4. Why isn’t Senator McSally calling for an investigation into the Trump administration ignoring reports that Russia funded bounties for U.S. soldiers?

  5. Does Senator McSally support Trump’s nomination of William Pendley to lead the Bureau of Land Management?

  6. Does Senator McSally support the Trump administration’s move to gut consumer protections and make Arizonans more vulnerable to predatory payday lenders?
