PHOENIX – As a member of Trump’s impeachment defense team, U.S. Rep. Debbie Lesko has over recent weeks confirmed to Arizonans that she will always put her party leaders and political career first in Washington — even if that means taking a stand against full evidence and the truth:

• As a member of the president’s defense team, Lesko is part of a team that has repeatedly opposed a full accounting of evidence, including document-based evidence and testimony from witnesses like John Bolton — a position that Lesko herself reiterated during a Saturday Fox 10 interview.
• Lesko slammed the trial as “Total B.S.” and a “total sham” process at this past weekend’s GOP State Committee Meeting last Saturday.
• Lesko explicitly defended Trump’s Ukraine extortion scheme — including Trump’s move to ask a foreign leader for political help, which the FEC has said is illegal — in that same Saturday Fox 10 Phoenix interview.

“It’s disappointing but unsurprising that Debbie Lesko has agreed to be part of Republicans’ rigged Senate trial, and actively fight to cover up the truth. Arizonans deserve all the facts — and that means a fair trial with witnesses and full evidence — it’s regrettable that Lesko is working with Mitch McConnell and Donald Trump to misconstrue the truth,” said Matt Grodsky, ADP spokesperson.
