Kari Lake’s Don’t Ask Me Anything Tour — Lake Runs Scared From Tough Questions and Ditches Arizona for Texas

PHOENIX–This week Kari Lake launched an “Ask Me Anything” tour, but it turns out it’s more like a “Ask me anything…that we screened, discussed and my campaign deemed in no way detrimental to me” tour.

Lake truly got to the heart of what Arizona voters are looking to hear from their next governor by answering such tough and hard hitting questions like “You inspired our family to leave California,” “How can we help you?” and “How is your family?” The questions are pre-submitted via an RSVP link and then screened prior to the event. At the first tour stop in downtown Phoenix, they didn’t take a single question from the audience and Lake refused to  allow  anyone to ask her questions after. Lake is having a third Don’t Ask Me Anything Tour stop tonight in Marana before she again ditches Arizona to campaign in…Texas?

All of this pokes holes in Lake’s narrative that she’s willing to take questions from anyone.. She also continues to insult and ignore legitimate media and Arizona in favor of only appearing on friendly MAGA media like OANN and Sebastian Gorka’s show. Lake has also repeatedly referred to the Arizona Republic as the “Repugnant” and insulted local reporters like Brahm Resnick.

“Former teleprompter reader Kari Lake continues to create safe spaces for herself because she can’t handle tough questions from the press or voters,” said Josselyn Berry, spokesperson for the Arizona Democratic Party. “This tour is nothing more than smoke and mirrors, with Lake only answering pre-submitted, pre-selected softball questions before she abandons Arizona to campaign in Texas. If Kari Lake lacks the backbone to talk to everyday Arizonans, then how will she have the backbone to stand up for them as governor? Compare that to Katie Hobbs who is touring the state and talking to Arizonans about actual issues, like rising cost of living, our water crisis and funding education.”
