As SCOTUS Hears Arguments For Mississippi Abortion Ban, GOP Senate Candidates Support Efforts to Overturn Roe

Today as the Supreme Court heard arguments for Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, a lawsuit that could effectively overturn Roe v. Wade, Arizonans are reminded that every GOP Senate primary candidate supports these archaic, dangerous, and unpopular anti-choice laws.

Access to abortion is under attack like never before, with the Supreme Court deliberating abortion bans in Texas and now Mississippi. Arizona has also faced an onslaught of anti-choice legislation and could immediately prohibit abortions should Roe v. Wade be overturned.

Arizonans know they can rely on leaders like Senator Mark Kelly, who has signed onto an amicus brief urging the Supreme Court to protect a person’s right to make their own health care choices. Unfortunately, the people of Arizona can’t say the same about Jim LamonMick McGuireMark BrnovichBlake Masters, or Justin Olson.

“With access to reproductive care under attack, Arizonans want leaders who will defend their right to choose and stand up to these archaic abortion bans,” said ADP Spokesperson Sarah Guggenheimer. “The GOP Senate primary candidates’ support for these heinous laws puts them out of touch and out of step. Thankfully, Arizonans know they can count on Senator Kelly to always defend access to reproductive care.”
