PHOENIX – Chair Rotellini is going out on top. After helping to secure Arizona’s 11 electoral votes for President-elect Joe Biden, sending two Democratic Senators to Washington for the first time in 60 years, helping deliver the largest Democratic legislative caucus in decades, ensuring that Democrats became the second-largest registered voting group in the state, and overseeing successful down-ballot wins across Arizona, the Chairwoman is not seeking re-election and is considering her next move.
“After serving as Chair for nearly two terms and despite numerous calls for her to seek another term, Felecia Rotellini is closing this chapter with the Arizona Democratic Party after delivering truly historic wins. The Party will elect a new Chair at our State Committee Meeting in January. We could not be more grateful for her hard work and energy.” – Arizona Democratic Party Executive Director Herschel Fink.
Chair Felecia Rotellini stated, “I am so proud of the work of the Arizona Democratic Party and the coalition we have built of supporters and volunteers who have worked so hard these last few years to turn Arizona blue. It has been my honor to lead the Party who I consider my family, experiencing the highs and lows of any endeavor worth fighting for – and what we have achieved together is truly remarkable. While I am choosing not to run for re-election again, I plan to stay connected and active in service to this state and country. Thank you!”
