Statement on today's debt-ceiling vote

Andrei Cherny, Arizona Democratic Party chairman, gave the following statement today:

"With this bipartisan deal to raise the debt ceiling, the nation will meet its obligations and avert an economic catastrophe. And all of us, from both sides of the aisle, stand in awe of the courage and strength shown by Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, who returned to Washington for the first time since the January tragedy and cast her vote today. Now, the real work of rebuilding our economy and restoring fiscal responsibility must begin."
