Statement on the eve of Election Day
Don Bivens, Arizona Democratic Party chair, offers the following statement before voters head to the polls Tuesday
"The importance of Tuesday's election cannot be overstated.
"Our state is famous for its independent streak and colorful politics -- in the last three decades we've seen many highs and lows. But the choices you'll find in the voting booth tomorrow represent the Arizona we want versus an Arizona that hurts its working families, abandons its public schools, and sells its government to the highest bidder.
"During the worst economy our state has faced since the Great Depression, we have a chance to elect leaders who will stand up for hard-working Arizonans and guide us to a stronger future, or to elect those who pursue their failed policies and entrenched ideology at the expense of Arizona families.
"Tomorrow, the stakes are high: We must elect Democrats committed to rebuilding our public schools, attracting jobs to our state, and fixing the huge hole in our state budget.
"Our candidates are Arizona's best chance to get back on track."
