Campbell chosen for DLCC board of directors
PHOENIX -- State House Minority Leader Chad Campbell, D-Phoenix (District 14) has been chosen to sit on the national Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee board of directors.
Commonly known as the DLCC, the committee works to win state legislative seats nationwide and chambers for Democrats. Since its inception in 1994, DLCC has been an integral part of the success that Democrats have had winning at the legislative level and has worked to protect and pick up legislative chambers and seats.
"I am thankful and honored to have this opportunity to get down to business, get organized and get our country back on track," Campbell said. "We need moderate, intelligent and sensible representatives who care about families, not about ideological agendas that only benefit the rich and special interests. It's time to hold politicians accountable and elect state leaders who will turn our economy around."
The DLCC develops state-specific strategies, working with national and local partners to enable Democratic legislators to win in all regions of the country. In addition to providing funding for competitive legislative campaigns, the DLCC helps give state legislators and candidates access to tools like polling, communications, research and online fundraising. Many of these basic political resources are too expensive for state legislative races, so providing an economy of scale and making them accessible is a huge advantage.
