Where are Republicans on illegal IRC removal?

Flake, Quayle, Schweikert and Gosar silent, Brewer still in NYC

After hearing Jan Brewer falsely allege "neglect of duty and gross misconduct" by the Independent Redistricting Commission, even we are stunned by the total silence and complete lack of accountability from Arizona's top Republicans since the state Senate illegally voted to remove the chair of the redistricting commission.

Brewer is treating her shocking overreach as routine -- not even interrupting her book tour to come back to Arizona. And the members of the GOP congressional delegation, who The Huffington Post reports were lobbying Republican senators behind the scenes, now can't bring themselves to defend this sleazy action.

But don't take our word for it, Google it.

Jeff Flake, Ben Quayle, David Schweikert and Paul Gosar haven't said a thing about the stunning move against the Independent Redistricting Commission. John McCain? Absent. Jon Kyl? Not a word.

We are actually in the bizarre position of congratulating Trent Franks for at least owning up to supporting what he calls a "politically awkward or unpopular" move.

So what have Republicans been talking about? Here's our roundup of all the news our Republican colleagues have chosen to make this week rather than talk about their brazen power grab:

Brewer:

AZ Central: Governor was glutton for Google

Jeff Flake:
